Write when you find work.

Three days!

I didn't get new boots, or a new swimsuit, but I did get a new digital camera. This one has zoooooom!

My icon is crooked. This is going to drive me crazy.

Oh yeah, I had dreams last night and actually remember them this morning. I think it was mostly one dream, but it sort of divided itself into sections.

First off, I was hanging out in my house (which was only my house in this dream, sadly) watching Man from UNCLE. I have never seen an episode in real life, so this is all [livejournal.com profile] matociquala's fault. I'm pretty sure David McCallum is not really quite as cute as he was in this dream.

After watching dream TV, it was time to go to sleep. But my ex-kitty Grendel had returned from the dead and was pissed off. I kept trying to put him out, as I didn't want angry undead kitty messing with my other cats, but doors kept blowing open and he kept getting back inside. (This house had a lot of doors, and most of them were glass.) I finally put the cat out, only to have some terrible thunder clap shatter the windows and let him right back in.

No, my cats don't cause me any stress or anything...

I love my shift at our new tech library. Two and half hours of chillin' with iTunes. I have not seen a student all morning.

and hardships unnumbered I have fought my way here to the post office in the center of the university union, to buy postage for my story which must be subbed.

Sadly, the postal worker bore no resemblance to Bowie.

PeopleSoft must be destroyed. They exist only to complicate and confound the lives of everyone on this campus.

I love my boy for many reasons, but today he gets special love. (No, that's not a euphamism for anything smutty. Get yer minds outta the gutter.)

In the middle of this crazy, database-non-functional, start of a new semester day, I finally get a chance to check my email. I find a message from said boy saying "I thought of something you could use in X section of the book." Not only is it a good idea, but it lets me tie in some other plot threads, and maybe write a whole new scene in the beginning. Whee! And then he tells me he's been too busy thinking about Carcosa today to cook, so we're going out to eat tonight.

Clearly I have found the best boy in the universe.

It is equally clear that I have an compulsive blogging disorder today.

I have not been cranky for the past two days! Either I'm giddy about Worldcon, or Alesse is the new hotness of mood-altering medication.
