Farther up and further in
Apr. 14th, 2004 02:33 amThe Book continues, in drips and sputters. I had a very productive Friday and Saturday, giving me close to 3,000 words for two days. Of course, earlier that week I chopped 16,000. Eeek! I still have phantom word pain. But the cut words were either no longer part of the story or weren't carrying their weight, so I guess it's for the best.
One of the new chapters contains my take on the Best Villain Evar, which makes me happy and scared. I want him to be as super cool as he is in my head. The chapter will be up on the 'orkshop soon, and then we'll see what the readers think.
The first fingers of finals panic are tickling the back of my neck. Two papers due in two weeks. I have a rough draft of the Hindi Syntax monstrosity, but I don't even have a thesis for the Orpheus in the Middle Ages thingy yet. Can you say cramming, children? Good, I knew that you could.
Total word count: 37,823
